Hoe is het met... Robbert Uyleman?

This past weekend, Uiltje mainstay John Weich headed north to the Dutch island of Texel to meet up with Uiltje founder Robbert Uyleman on his…farm. Robbert, who founded Uiltje in 2012 and left the company a decade later, moved to Texel in 2024. Over the past two years he’s been transforming a former dairy farm into his own little agro-maker paradise almost entirely with his own two hands. John and Robbert know each other well, but it was John’s first visit to the Uyleman Farm. After an evening of British bitters and reminiscing (Café du Théâtre owner and good friend Tjerk Schreurs was there too), John pulled out his recorder (which he always carries) and taped a half-hour of their conversation.
